Frequently Asked Questions

Are all products gluten, peanut, soy, dairy, corn, egg, shellfish, and fish free?

None of our baking mixes contain any of the above ingredients.

Products are created in a facility with other allergens present but never on shared equipment. Other allergens present are mustard and celery. We also use a corn alcohol based vanilla extract in our baked goods. Please use your best judgment when purchasing items.

Is your facility 100% gluten, peanut, soy, dairy, corn, egg, shellfish, and fish free?

Our facility is free of wheat, gluten, dairy, eggs, soy, peanuts, tree nuts (EXCEPT COCONUT), fish and shellfish.

Is your facility tree nut free?

No, it isn’t. According to the USDA, coconuts are considered a tree nut and one of our main ingredients. However, we don't use any other tree nuts in our facility.

On the packaging, eggs are listed as a recipe ingredient to make the mixes but you said they are egg free?

You are correct, eggs are listed as a wet ingredient in the recipe, however, you can leave out the eggs and not replace them with anything. Yep, you read right! You don't have to replace the eggs in most of the mixes. You do want to use applesauce or another replacer in the pancake/waffle mix.

I don’t like Apple Cider Vinegar, can I leave it out of the recipe?

No, you can’t leave it out but you can substitute lemon juice. The Apple Cider Vinegar is necessary for the rising process to be successful but you won’t taste it at all.

How long are my mixes good for?

Check the date on the back of the bag for expiration. For best results, keep your sealed mix in the fridge or freezer. Once you’re ready to prepare your mix, remove the mix from the fridge/freezer and allow it to come up to room temperature before using (usually 2-3 hours).

Are your products certified organic?

No, they are not. We only purchase and use organic ingredients in Sweet Elizabeth’s Organics products but we have not gone through the certification process yet.
