Gluten free flours often times are the least nutritious because of the flour choice and additives used. I know you don’t want to sacrifice your health for allergy free and vice versa. The last thing you want to do is spend hours in the kitchen mixing together just the right amount of flours to create an allergy-friendly meal that tastes good. Our mixes aren’t just free of top allergens but they contain healthy, nutritious ingredients that are meant to nourish your body not cause more health problems.

Our mixes are created only with the foods I would eat and feed my own family. At Sweet Elizabeth’s Organics, we have sourced our ingredients from companies that care about you and the environment. They also care deeply about your safety when it comes to your allergy or intolerance.

Sweet Elizabeth’s Organics Mixes are prepared in small batches, in a facility free from top allergens. Your health and safety is our top priority.

Sweet Elizabeth’s Organics was born from a simple request from my daughter. Each birthday my kids are allowed to choose the meals for the day. I usually start asking a week ahead of time to make sure I have the ingredients on hand. My sweet Sophia asked for a coffee cake for her birthday and all I could do was laugh. I didn’t say anything to her at the time but I knew that anything cake-like, that was gluten-free and made with healthy ingredients wouldn’t turn out the way it was intended. The texture would be funky, the aftertaste would be unwelcome and who knows if the flavors would blend properly.

At this point, I was hoping she would change her mind and settle for pancakes; something I knew I could pull off.

However, the morning of her birthday, she requested that much dreaded coffee cake again and I knew I wasn’t going to get out of it. I put together a few trusted ingredients that I’ve used in other dishes and to my surprise the coffee cake turned out to be the best I’ve ever had, gluten free or not. Since I’ve been hosting cooking demonstrations and sharing recipes for years I thought this would be a recipe people would appreciate and thought about sharing it. Then I realized that, yes, people do appreciate a good recipe but they would rather have someone grind and prepare the right amount of flours for them. And at that very moment was when Sweet Elizabeth’s Organics was born…all from a simple request of a 10 year old.

When our entire family went gluten free it was a big undertaking. I knew there were gluten free mixes on the market but after reading their ingredient list I knew they weren’t something I wanted to feed to my family. I have been working on healthy, delicious tasting allergy friendly recipes for years and I am so excited to finally be able to share them with you.
